Home » Siding Options » Metal Siding Costs Metal Siding CostsMetal siding costs run $5 to $12 per square foot fully installed. There are a number of different options when it comes to metal siding, including steel, aluminum and copper. Many times, metal is use on only a portion of the home, although in several of the pictures below you will notice it's used on nearly the entire facade. The result is a much more striking result, when compared to say an engineered wood siding or even a brick or stone.
Aluminum SidingAluminum siding is moderately priced, certainly higher than vinyl siding and perhaps a touch less than fiber cement. Pricing will vary depending on the type, grade and length of the panel.
Steel SidingSteel siding is going to run more than aluminum and is a very strong metal. It can look even more industrial than aluminum, but is more resistant to chalking that can happen to aluminum after a number of years. It is expensive in the short run, but has great longevity and a very unique look.
Copper SidingCopper is a bold choice for siding, but one that can add a ton of character and distinction to a home. It is typically used more on commerical buildings than residential, but some homeowners are bucking this trend. Copper changes color over time, taking on green and gray patina that many homeowners really like and find very unique.
